FAQ

When is GMC Limousines open?

We are open 24/7/365! Call us by phone at (+41 22 732 57 67) or send us an email at booking@gmc-limousines.ch and one of our team members would be glad to assist you.

Where is GMC based?

Based in Geneva, Switzerland, and with a second office in Zurich, GMC Limousines specialises in luxury ground transportation services on Swiss soil but also performs services that sometimes cross into neighbouring countries.

Can GMC operate in the countries neighbouring Switzerland?

As a Swiss limousine provider, we can perform any service that at one point takes place on Swiss soil.  We cannot, for example, perform services within France unless the route between the two locations passes through Switzerland at one point.  However, we have many reliable partners who could take care of any service we cannot provide.

Can we come view a vehicle we are interested in?

Yes, it is possible to come and view any vehicle you might be interested in. Contact our team to arrange a date & time that suits you best. Alternatively, we can send you pictures of your preferred vehicle by mail.

What are the terms & conditions for renting a vehicle for self-drive?

The overall process for renting a vehicle only (no driver) is easy. We require the driver’s license(s) of the person(s) using the vehicle, a valid credit card & a prepayment. Once we have these elements, we prepare a rental contract & provide you with a copy. That’s it!

How long can I book a chauffeured vehicle for?

There is no limit to how long a chauffeured vehicle can be booked for. The minimum duration however is for one hour. In certain cases, during events for example, it is sometimes not possible to book a vehicle for one hour only, though we always try to do our best to satisfy our client’s demands.

Can I change drivers or vehicles in the middle of a service?

We always try to satisfy our clients wishes. If for any reason there is any issue with the allocated driver or vehicle, we can try to change this (this will depend on availability).

What languages do the drivers speak?

All of our drivers are bilingual in French and in English. Drivers speaking other languages (Spanish, Arabic, German, Italian, Portuguese and more) can be organised but please note that this is subject to availability. Please do not hesitate to contact us to check for drivers who speak your language.

How well do the drivers know the area?

All of our drivers are locally sourced, meaning they are knowledgeable about the best & quickest routes to take for any given itinerary. Furthermore, they can suggest the best restaurants, bars, activities & places to visit in & around Switzerland.

Do I have to tip the driver?

This is not mandatory. It is at the client’s discretion.

What payment methods can be used?

For first time clients, we require a prepayment for the first service which is often done by email through an online & secure payment link that we send.

Other payment methods we accept include cash, credit card (please inform us beforehand so we can equip the vehicle with a credit card machine) or through monthly billing.

What is the cancellation policy?

We try to be flexible when we can & generally try and avoid charging clients who cancel services with us. However, this is not always possible. Here below is our cancellation policy:
